Linssen Yachts needed a reliable, secure source of steel that consistently performed at the highest level, for use in its unique ‘in series’ production process. Fundamental to the end-quality of its vessels, this process, when combined with premium, consistent steel, creates ultra-smooth hulls that glide through the water.
Direct delivery enhances production
Linssen Yachts takes several stages to shape and craft state-of-the-art boats in its main production hall. Its unique manufacturing process involves:
- Using a plasma-cutting machine to turn tension-free sheets into components
- Welding components together to form the hull
- Blast cleaning the structure to maximise smoothness
Flow-production system is unrivalled
After the application of various layers of filler and paint, the hull is complete, but empty on the inside. At this point it is moved to one of three Logicam-production lines. This technology is a flow-production system where the yachts are fitted out with:
- Engines
- Tanks
- Cabling
- Electronics
- Floors, interior, furniture and windows
To ensure optimum quality control, Linssen Yachts produces all the required modules in-house, which are then fitted in the yacht. After each production phase the yachts move through the hall to the next stage, until the product is complete.
