Mechanical properties
Metallic coated steel for forming has the following mechanical properties. These are measured transverse to the rolling direction.
Property range is indicated according to EN 10346, but properties meet equivalent VDA 239-100 specifications also.
Grade | DX56-GI | DX56-GA/ZM | |
---|---|---|---|
Yield strength1 Re | N/mm² | 120 - 180 | 120 - 180 |
Tensile strength Rm | N/mm² | 260 - 350 | 260 - 350 |
Elongation2 | % | 39 | 37 |
Min. r-value3 | 1.9 | 1.7 | |
Min. n-value | 0.21 | 0.20 |
1 If the yield point is not pronounced, the values apply to the 0.2% - proof strength Rp0.2 ;
if the yield strength is pronounced, the values apply to the lower yield point ReL.
2 Decreased minimum elongation values apply for product thickness t ≤ 0.50 mm (minus 4 units) and for 0.50 mm ≤ t ≤ 0.70 mm (minus 2 units).
Elongation after fraction A uses test piece length L0 = 80 mm.
3 For t > 1.5 mm, the minimum r90 - value reduced by 0.2 applies.
For t ≤ 0.7 mm, the minimum r90 - value reduced by 0.2 and minimum n90- value reduced by 0.01 apply.
